Pearl’s Record FIT Interest, Trends

Pearl Expeditions reports its strongest week of FIT sales including a record single sales day on 06 Oct.Pearl Expeditions Kiti Kiti waterfall LOW -21

The company says the milestone reflects growing demand for boutique expedition travel and highlights particularly strong interest in The Kimberley, Papua New Guinea, Raja Ampat and Borneo itineraries. The small-ship cruise line says more travellers are prioritising access over excess.

“While travellers are spending more selectively on distinctive, hard-to-replicate experiences close to home, it is encouraging to see the large number of new-to-cruise guests,” says Pearl Expeditions executive chair Sarina Bratton OM.

“Pleasingly, we are helping to grow the boutique expedition market sector for our region. As we have now established and settled our Paspaley Pearl operations into our second year, we are also seeing considerable repeat business as our guests understand the huge difference and benefit in travelling with just 28 other guests.”

The company is also reporting increased demand from multi-generational families.

. . . Hot Demand

Pearl attributes the interest in its Raja Ampat, Borneo, PNG and 2027 Kimberley departures, to the voyages’ bespoke elements, such as fishing experiences, flight-seeing aboard the Paspaley Mallard amphibious aircraft, visits to Paspaley pearling operations, and access to on board working pearl vessels on selected Kimberley itineraries.

The cruises feature Australian produce and wines across its menus, and there is a team of four naturalists who are experts in their field on board. See more HERE.
