AmaWaterways’ 2027 River of Rewards agent incentive is live, offering consultants on both sides of the Tasman that chance to win a place on a Mekong agent megafam aboard its new ship the AmaMaya next Sep.
“We had such great success with River of Rewards the first time around, and the response from advisors was incredible,” says Steve Richards, AmaWaterways md Australia and New Zealand, who adds that bringing back the incentive for 2027 was an easy decision. “Hundreds of agencies got involved, we had thousands of challenge entries and millions in booked revenue…so of course we’re doing it again.”
Running 01 Oct-31 Mar, the new River of Rewards promotion gives agents two chances to be in to win, via eligible AmaWaterways sales or through challenges. “The 2027 program introduces more gamified challenges designed to build product knowledge, encourage advisors to put AmaWaterways in front of their clients and reward genuine engagement along the way,” he adds.
Ama says a live challenge leaderboard will add friendly competition, while new elements will give agents more ways to test their knowledge, participate and earn points. “My biggest advice is don’t overthink it. Get yourself registered and get involved. Work with your [local rep], learn something new about Ama, have fun with the challenges and talk to your clients about what you’ve discovered. We’d love nothing more than to see some new names earning their way onto AmaMaya with us,” says Richards.

The 2027 River of Rewards Mega Famil will depart 20 Sep on its seven-night Riches of the Mekong Cambodia and Vietnam itinerary.
The winning agents will earn a place for themselves, and a companion, it adds. Highlights include traditional villages and local workshops, Phnom Penh by tuk-tuk, a Buddhist blessing ceremony and Vietnam’s Mekong Delta.
The AmaMaya, which will debut in Jan, is the newest addition to AmaWaterways’ Mekong fleet. She sports a modern take on Indochine design for up to 120 guests in 60 staterooms, two dining venues, a sun deck pool, fitness room, massage rooms and an onboard wellness host. See incentive details HERE.
