Viking’s Egyptian Fleet Expansion

Viking’s Nile fleet has grown again, with it taking delivery of the 41-stateroom, 82-guest Viking Ptah, which has been purpose-built for the river.

The vessel, identical to Viking’s other sister ships on the Nile, will sail the popular 12-day Pharaohs & Pyramids itinerary ex Cairo, which explores Luxor, Qena, Esna and Aswan as well as Edfu.

This latest delivery takes Viking one step closer to its 2031 goal of having 114 river ships in 2028 and 26 ocean and expedition ships in 2031. With the addition of the Viking Ptah, Viking president and ceo Leah Talactac says the cruise line is pleased to offer even more guests the opportunity to explore this extraordinary destination in the comfort of a Viking vessel.

“Purpose-built for the Nile, our elegant sister ships provide an unmatched way to experience Egypt’s rich history and cultural treasures.” Find out more HERE.
