TTC says it is revamping its portfolio to offer three levels of tours under one Trafalgar umbrella brand.
The move follows extensive trade research, says Andy Young svp of TTC Tour Brands, and is designed to offer agents and clients a simpler touring offering.
“What we ended up with was a bit of brand soup, and the research showed us that it became confusing to know what exactly each brand stood for, and what customer was best for each brand,” says Young, who adds that the solution was to create a Trafalgar power brand.
The new, expanded era of Trafalgar will cover five travel categories (tours, small groups, river cruises, rail and groups) across three value tiers; saver (was Costsaver), classic (Trafalgar) and premium (was Insight).
For 2027 departures, existing itineraries, experiences and pricing remain unchanged.
Young stresses that, for example, the Insight product proposition is not changing, it will just have a new name. And next year some passengers on the same premium trip will have booked an Insight tour, while others may have booked a Trafalgar Premium tour.
The new umbrella branding will encompass more than 600 itinerar ies across 75 countries, he adds.
“Bringing these experiences together under Trafalgar allows us to preserve what agents and their clients value while removing layers that no longer make it easy to do business with us,” says Young. “…the goal isn’t to give agents less choice. It’s to make more choice easier to navigate,” he adds.
TTC says the expanded portfolio will be supported by ‘Trafalgar’s biggest-ever brand investment, driving greater consumer aware ness and generating increased demand and sales opportunities for our trade partners’.
