The five-day, 54km walk connects Kata Tjuta to Uluru across a 500-million-year-old landscape. It’s the Tasmanian Walking Company’s 15th tour in its Great Walks of Australia collection.

Company co-owner Brett Godfrey says the product represents an opportunity for agents.

“This is the first new long-distance, overnight walk inside a national park brought to market since the Three Capes Track opened over a decade ago, and that creates a genuine opportunity to sell high-value, commissionable adventure that is both new and exciting.”

He says early demand has been driven by repeat walkers and experienced adventure travellers. The capacity is limited to 16 guests per departure, and the walk runs Apr to Sep.

“There’s a clear advantage for travel advisors to secure early spots for adventure clients.”

The walk is priced from AUD5395pp, t/s, for various travel dates. See more details HERE.

. . . Travel Shifts

Tasmanian Walking Company Group gm sales and marketing Tony Quarmby says the launch comes amid shifting travel behaviour.

“With ongoing global travel uncertainty and added logistical complexity right now, some travellers are deferring overseas trips for high-quality, closer-to-home experiences,” he says.
