Tahiti Tourisme has launched a new iteration of its trade training program, with four new tiers and an increased focus on practical tools and education, as it acknowledges the importance of agents.
The revamped Certified Tahiti Specialist Program has Registered, Bronze, Silver and Gold levels and all agents may earn points and rise up the ranks through lessons, assessments and specialty badges. They can also earn points by making verified bookings, though there is no booking or revenue requirement to reach a tier. Once a tier status has been achieved, it is permanent.
Caroline Brunel, account director for Tahiti Tourisme Australia & New Zealand, says the new trade training platform reflects the important role travel advisors play in inspiring and guiding travellers to the Islands of Tahiti.
“We wanted to create a platform that goes beyond traditional destination training and becomes a resource advisors can genuinely use in their day-to-day business,” she says.
Alongside training, which includes new learning tracks, the platform features a dashboard where agents can both access and manage consumer leads.
It has smart functionality, including the ability to use booking confirmations to populate key booking details and an in-platform learning assistant that can answer destination questions using Certified Tahiti Specialist content. There are also webinars, and links to events and specialist community features. “Whether an advisor is discovering the Islands of Tahiti for the first time or is already one of our experienced specialists, the new program gives them the tools, knowledge and opportunities to continue developing their expertise and create even better experiences for their clients,” says Brunel.
