Winning Travel Broker of the Year at Sat’s NTIA’s was a surreal moment for Angela Lester—and one that she says will drive her to raise the bar even higher.
At the moment though, she’s still taking it all in. “To be recognised by the industry for doing something I genuinely love is very special,” she tells Travel Today.
Her success, she says, has always come down to relationships.
“Travel is personal, and I’ve built my business around really understanding my clients—what excites them, what matters to them, and creating experiences that feel seam less and memorable from start to finish,” says Lester. “Passion, attention to detail, and always going the extra mile are what drive me every day.”
Lester is part of NZ Travel Brokers and says the move to join the group in 2014 was a game-changer.
“Their support, guidance, and resources have allowed me to focus on what I do best: creating exceptional travel experiences,” she says. “Access to industry knowledge, training, and a network of like-minded professionals has kept me ahead of trends and continually raised the standard of service I provide.”
The travel industry is constantly evolving, she adds, which is what makes it so exciting. Her next steps involve more growth, and making the most of the opportunities this amazing industry brings.
“Winning this award is an honour—but it also feels like motivation to keep raising the bar.”
