Cunard’s Queen Mary 2 will be getting a new look, entering dry dock in spring 2027 for a transformation.
The cruise line’s president Katie McAlister says the refurb has been approached with ‘deep respect for the vessel’s heritage and character’.
“We are not reinventing what guests love about her; we are refining it beautifully and ensuring she carries it forward,” she adds.
Key changes will include the addition of 31 new staterooms, including 16 Cunard Princess Grill Suites (pictured) and 15 Britannia category staterooms, while existing Grill Suites will be refreshed with new interiors and updated furnishings as well as new luxury bathrooms with spa-inspired features. Mareel Wellness & Beauty will be updated and guests will also find a new collection of luxury stores, while planetarium Illuminations will receive a major digital upgrade.
The Queens Grill and Princess Grill restaurants are also being refreshed with more outdoor deck space, and redesigned dog kennels.
