The Oceania Nautica is being upgraded and will be relaunched as the Oceania Aurelia: The Ultimate Explorer which will debut late 2027 and host the line’s 2028 and 2029 Around the World voyages, and a series of Grand Voyages.
“Oceania Aurelia is our ultimate world explorer,” says Oceania Cruises chief luxury officer Jason Montague.
“She is designed specifically for guests who desire greater space, more suites and a deeper level of personalised care, particularly for extended journeys.”
The Oceania Aurelia will be a smaller, more club like ship that truly feels like a home at sea, providing travellers with a deeper connection to the ports they visit, he adds.

Launching as part of the line’s OceaniaNEXT program, the reimagined ship will have less than 500 guests, with 400 officers and crew. A dedicated butler service will define the onboard experience, with 179 suites out of 238 accommodations, it adds.
There will be remastered owner, Vista and penthouse suites, as well as new additions including Oceania suites, Horizon suites and a selection of oceanview and inside suites.
Dining options include The Grand Dining Room, Polo Grill, Toscana, Terrace Café, Waves Grill and the Pizzeria in the evenings. Baristas, Oceania’s coffee venue, will move to Horizons and feature as a new addition to the bakery. Crêperie offers fresh crêpes, waffles and gelato sundaes.
Bars and lounges are throughout the ship and will include mixology experiences at the new Founders Bar. A Chef’s Studio will host culinary workshops, the Artist Loft has creative activities, and the LYNC Digital Centre will stage interactive classes.
