Youth travel is a rapidly growing market, with youth travellers booking at speed and travel frequency outpacing their generational counterparts, says Contiki tours.

“If advisors aren’t actively selling to young travellers, they’re missing a significant growth opportunity,” says Andrew Young, senior vp sales Oceania for TTC Tour Brands. “Young travellers are booking faster, travelling more frequently, and looking for affordable ways to experience the world.”

In response, Contiki has released a new collection of experience-led tours for the next generation of travellers, designed to offer agents more opportunities to capitalise on the fast-growing youth travel sector. And Young is encouraging agents to take up the opportunity.

The tours span hiking, foodie escapes, beach breaks, ski trips and more—and Contiki says the initial trade reaction to the launch has been favourable. “The response from both travellers and the trade to our recent launches has been incredibly strong,” says Young.

Early feedback from trade partners, he adds, has been positive, citing the combination of affordability, built-in social connections and highly sellable European and global itineraries, with tours around $125 per day.

Itineraries include the eight-day Albania Beaches & Mountains priced from $1895 for the 16 Aug departure, the 12-day Best of Turkey is from $2785 for various departure dates, and the eight-day Bordeaux, Burgundy & Champagne is priced from $2675 also for various departure dates. See more HERE.
