New Travel Buying Group Launching

Complete, a new a co-operative travel buying group, focusing on high-end leisure and corporate markets, will officially open its doors from 01 Jul.

The pending launch of the new brand has been possibly one of the most-discussed trade moves in recent times and includes some as yet unnamed high-profile agents.

The company is headed up by former First Travel Group boss Malcolm MacLeod, and he is joined by experienced industry executive Paul Smith who is the general manager.

Eight members of First Travel Group have resigned to join the new brand, but they will not be named until the 01 Jul launch, says MacLeod.

These agency members all have ownership in the Complete head office operation ‘that not only returns dividends but also ensures futureproofing’, he adds.

Described as a low resource/high return on investment model, MacLeod says the start-up is designed to deliver ‘ownership, choice, transparency, difference, and reward, focused on our customers and not focused on the share market price’.

“The innovative mix of suppliers and partnerships, across travel and technology is made possible because the group has no corporate bias and or self interest in supporting their own brand,” says MacLeod.

. . . Details To Come

Complete is in the process of securing its own supplier deals, including some strategic alliance supply arrangements. However MacLeod says more details will be released in the coming weeks.

“I guess you could say Complete is not quite complete, as we’re still a few weeks away from our launch. But we will be updating our stake holders shortly.”

A series of high-profile announcements will be announced in the coming months, he adds.
