The ship will set off on its first sailing in six months, and the official naming will take place on 28 Nov.

MSC World Asia (which will set sail in Europe) will feature design elements inspired by Asian culture, art and landscapes. It will also have the longest dry slide at sea, more than 40 bars and restaurants and immersive entertainment venues.

MSC Cruises ceo Gianni Onorato, says the World Class ships have been a ‘great success’.

“MSC World Asia, the third of eight in this class, marks the next step in this journey.”

. . . Must Dos

The Cliffhanger is MSC Cruises’ over-water swing ride 50 metres above the open sea. Guests can also check out the 81.3 metre dry slide called The Spiral @ Tree of Life, spanning 11 decks in seconds.

The Twin Race and U Drop waterslides are designed for friendly competition in the Family Aventura district.

Then there’s the Adventure Trail High Ropes Course, which is a two level course suspended above the ocean, featuring a Sky Rails (similar to a zip line).

The MSC Formula Racer is said to be perfect for F1 fans, offering an immersive racing simulation experience.

The MSC Luna Park Arena uses digital technology to transform the floor into an interactive arena, a first of its kind on any MSC Cruises ship. See more HERE.
