More China Travel By High Speed Rail

WorldJourneys-High speed train through GuilinAlthough initially slow to bounce back since the pandemic, World Journeys says demand for travel to China is now officially back and rising.

The company has a range of China itineraries on offer, ranging from a six-day China Encounter ex Beijing to Xi’an, to a 14-day China Highlights tour ex Beijing to Shanghai, which it reminds agents can be tailor-made to suit the client.

. . . High Speed

Most of World Journeys’ itineraries include some travel by high-speed train, which it says is now ‘fast, efficient, and impressive’.

The high-speed trains travel at around 350km per hour, and are an attractive alternative to flights, as clients travel in just as much (if not more) comfort and enjoy the scenery on the way, it adds.

“The 50,000kms of their highspeed rail network connects all the major hubs, and there is a choice of second, first, and business class, all modern, clean, and highly punctual,” says the operator. Rail travel can be combined with flights, road travel and of course river cruising, it adds.

The 14-day China Highlights is priced from $10,405pp twin share including 13 nights in four-star hotels with breakfast, private transfers and sightseeing with English-speaking local guides, entrance fees, Li River Cruise, two high-speed train journeys, and flights Xi’an-Guilin-Hangzhou.

. . . Pro Tip

For China luxury rail travel with excursions by day and luxury onboard cabins and cuisine by night, World Journeys recommend the new Silk Road Express train by Golden Eagle Luxury Trains. See more details HERE.
