Kiwis Explore The Queensland Coast

Waterfront dining in Noosa, helicopter flights over the southern Great Barrier Reef and snorkeling with turtles and rays off Heron Island were just among the highlights on a recent Australia famil, described as ‘the trip of a lifetime’.

The seven-night Fraser Coast and Southern Great Barrier Reef famil took six Aussie Specialists agents through the southern end of the Pacific Coast Way, with Tourism and Events Queensland, in partnership with Tourism Australia and Jetstar.

There was also coral education at Monsoon Aquatics, a night in the glamping tents at Turtle Sands, Mon Repos, a day trip to Great Keppel Island and a night in Brisbane. The trip concluded with a flight home on JQ’s new A321neo LR. Caprice Whiteman from House of Travel Whanganui says famil highlights were the wildlife and the helicopter ride over the Southern Great Barrier Reef. “Another top stand out was K’gari and experiencing the iconic 75-mile beach, 4WD through the island, and of course the gorgeous Lake McKenzie,” she says.
