Queensland is quite literally becoming a hot-spot, because of its mineral-rich artesian hot springs and bathhouses.

The state’s modern-day facilities are redefining wellness escapes combining ancient healing customs with new technologies, says Tourism and Events Queensland.

In Surfers Paradise the Lan Bathhouse opened in Apr and features six magnesium-infused spas and a bar to unwind in with a drink later; while Soak Bathhouse on a Brisbane city West End rooftop, offers a sauna and an oil-infused steam room.

. . . Hinterland

Meanwhile up in the Noosa Hinterland Kin Kin Spring Bathhouses takes guests on a 4WD buggy ride up the hill to bathe in a natural hot spring-fed bath tub overlooking the Kin Kin Valley.

. . . The Sunny Coast

Back on the Sunshine Coast, Tank Riviera is located by the Mooloolah River with pools, sauna and steam room, treatment rooms, restaurant, bar and sunset deck, says TEQ. Greenhouse the Bathhouse in the Tallebudgera Valley has magnesium spas, sauna, steam room and a restaurant, while the Bath Haus in Stanthorpe (pictured above) in wine country has baths made from Shiraz barrels by the Severn River. The sessions also include a local cheese plate. Finally, Cunnamulla Hot Springs, set by the Warrego River, offers sunrise and sunset sessions in geothermal pools under the sky, coolabah and eucalyptus trees. See more details HERE.
