There has been a big change in rail travel overnight with Eurail being renamed Interrail globally as part of a brand unification.

The move come as the company says New Zealanders continue to rank among the its most important international travellers.
Interrail chief brand and commercial officer Ozlem Birkalan says the unification reflects how travellers increasingly want to experience Europe, more thoughtfully, more flexibly, and with greater curiosity.
This is proving true close to home, with Interrail saying Kiwis are well known for spending longer in Europe than many other visitor markets and exploring regional destinations and lesser-visited communities.
The name change also includes the introduction of The Interrail Effect, the company’s new global brand platform, focused on the way rail travel encourages people to experience Europe more consciously and connect more deeply.
International Rail, owner and md Jonathan Hume says the team is excited to be part of this next chapter as Eurail becomes Interrail, and to continue helping travellers experience the freedom and flexibility of exploring Europe by train for many years to come.
. . . Eurail Passes
Hume says the key message for agents is that while the name has changed, clients with existing Eurail Passes will not be affected. The passes remaining valid, with the same products, benefits and flexibility.
The new global identity comes as the Interrail network says it continues to grow, with several new rail and ferry connections across Europe having been added recently. These include journeys between continental Europe and Finland on VR, direct ICE services between Cologne and Antwerp and new European Sleeper services between Brussels and Milan. See more HERE
