The announcements from Disney keep rolling in, with word of Monsters, Inc-inspired attractions, an expanded Avengers land, a Lion-King themed flume ride and more ahead.
Monstropolis is coming to Disney’s Hollywood Studios, with parts of the city to open as early as next year.
Highlights of the Monsters, Inc inspired area will include Glob Theater which will host a Welcome to Monstropolis show hosted by Mike and Sully, pizza spot Archie’s Scare Pig Pizza, retail shop Scareporium and Harryhausen’s Restaurant.
At Disneyland Paris, construction is underway on the first immersive world themed to The Lion King at Disney Adventure World. Disney says it will be a water attraction, complete with iconic songs from the 1994 film.
Further details on the Encanto attraction coming to Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park at Walt Disney World have also been revealed. Named Antonio’s Fiesta de Encanto, it will take guests through the casita and celebrate Antonio’s gift of communicating with animals.
EPCOT’s Spaceship Earth is also getting a makeover, bringing it into ‘the internet age’.
A refreshed version of the Remember…Dreams Come True nighttime spectacular is returning to Disneyland and an updated take on World of Color is coming to Disney California Adventure Park, both in Feb 2027, and the Magic Happens parade is returning to Disneyland in the 2027 northern summer.

New updates are also coming on the expansion of Avengers Campus at Disney California Adventure Park. Construction is in progress for two new attractions. Avengers Infinity Defense where guests will battle King Thanos, and Stark Flight Lab, where guests will train like a flying Avenger, both opening in 2028. At the same time, Hong Kong Disneyland Resort will feature a new Avengers Research Testing Labs, a battle through the realms, as well as a brand-new Quinjet landing platform where guests can meet their heroes.
Also announced is a new Spider man-themed land at Shanghai Disney Resort, celebrating all things science, Spidey, and the Avengers.
