Cathay Pacific will open the doors on its newly-redesigned flagship lounge The Wing, First at Hong Kong International Airport today, as part of CX’s moves to enhance its lounge offerings globally.

Cathay Group ceo Ronald Lam says the lounge’s reopening marks an important milestone in the evolution of CX’s flagship lounge design and reflects its long-standing commitment to putting people at the heart of everything it does.
“Through our commitment of well over HKD100 billion in investments into our fleet, cabin and lounge products, and digital innovation, we will continue to elevate the journey at every touchpoint,” he adds.
The reopening of The Wing, First follows the reopening of The Bridge in Hong Kong and the Cathay Pacific Lounge in Beijing last year, both of which have undergone extensive redesigns.
Next is the debut of CX’s first dedicated lounge in New York later this year after the airline moves to John F. Kennedy International Airport’s state-of-the art T6.
. . . The Lounge
The Wing, First is located on the east side of T1.
Highlighted features include The Atrium, an open space in the centre of the lounge that features a bar and self-serve food area called Pantry, as well as The Dining Room, offering full à la carte table service with Asian and international classics, and The Retreat, offering seven private booths with foot, neck or shoulder massages available.
There’s also the Alcove that offers five multipurpose booths designed for privacy, each equipped with a compact table and charging facilities, as well as The Bureau, a fully enclosed workspace offering complete privacy for focused work or small meetings.
The Wing, Business will close and undergo renovations of its own before reopening in 2027. See details HERE.
