Rising delivery rates have seen Boeing post somewhat positive results for the first quarter of the year with its losses lessening, from a net loss of USD31 million in 2025 to a net loss of USD7 million.

Revenue was USD22.2 billion, up 14% on the first quarter of 2025, attributable to higher commercial delivery volume.

Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) delivered 143 aircraft and achieved a first quarter revenue of USD9.2 billion, up 13% year-on-year.

The 737 program is continuing to produce at a 42 per month rate and 787 production is stabilising at eight per month, it adds.

Boeing’s commercial sector also booked 140 net orders in Q1, with its backlog now including more than 6100 aircraft valued at a record USD576 billion.
