WLG’s Domestic Lounge Upgrade

Wellington Airport has this week begun upgrading its northern domestic departure lounge in a bid to create an improved, modernised and flexible space.

“The new area will have more space and natural light, new bathrooms, new seating and décor, and a new convenience offering,” says WLG ceo Matt Clarke.

“The space will be flexible with areas able to switch between domestic and international, proving more space and capacity at busy times.”

The upgrade project (see renders above) will take place over the next 14 months.

WLG says the main difference for travellers is that some Jetstar flights will be operating from the southern end of the terminal rather than the usual northern end.

Agents may like to urge clients travelling through WLG to check which gate their flight departs.

The international lounge remains open and all international flights will continue to operate from the usual northern end of the terminal, adds WLG.
