A new 184-room EVT hotel Atura Oran Park has opened 20mins from the new Western Sydney International Airport, complete with an Italian-inspired restaurant and resort-style pool.
Located within one of Australia’s largest master-planned communities, the hotel has a sculptural installation by Indonesian artist Ichwan Noor, who has reimagined the Holden Torana A9X as a near-perfect cube (pictured). Inspired by Peter Brock’s legendary racing car and its yellow and black livery, the artwork is said to pay tribute to Oran Park’s motorsport history.
. . . Motor Racing
In the lobby, thousands of toy cars, planes and trains donated by people across Australia have been arranged into a large-scale depiction of the nearby Nepean River at sunset.
There are also racetrack-influenced carpets, a mural above the bar and a unique lenticular wall artwork that brings together Oran Park’s motorsport history and the natural landscape of Western Sydney.
Archival racing photography features across the property, while the rooms have racing-themed cushions and bathroom wallpaper and photography offering further nods to Oran Park’s motorsport past.
The property offers a range of king and twin rooms, accessible accommodation and larger suites.
Select rooms have balconies and pool views, while its suites include separate bedrooms and lounge areas, kitchenettes and washing machines.
All rooms and suites have high-speed wifi, smart TVs, dedicated workspaces, Mr Smith amenities, minibars and access to 24-hour room service, and interconnecting rooms are also available.
The hotel’s Italian-style restaurant and bar, Tavola, offers a contemporary take on traditional Italian dining. To celebrate the opening, the hotel has a ‘breakfast on us’ launch offer for stays before the end of Jan.
