Silversea Antarctic Sailings & Stays

Silversea’s 2026/2027 Antarctica season is underway, and this season the cruise line is introducing new fly cruise options for passengers who want to fly over the Drake Passage, and it is launching the world’s Southern-most hotel, The Cormorant at 55 South (pictured), next month.

Silver Endeavour, Silver Wind and Silver Cloud will operate a total of 40 voyages, offering guests more choice in how they reach Antarctica, says Silversea president Bert Hernandez.

“Some will explore the Falkland Islands and South Georgia in the footsteps of famed explorers, before continuing to the Antarctic Peninsula, while others will opt for our innovative Antarctica Fly Cruise program, now enhanced by the unveiling of The Cormorant at 55 South, which welcomes its first guests this season.”

The Cormorant at 55 South will feature as part of the cruise line’s Antarctica Fly Cruise product, supported by Silversea-branded charter business class flights from Santiago.

Highlights of the purpose-built property will include access to activities from kayaking on the Beagle Channel to guided hikes on Navarino Island led by naturalists.

Hernandez says the hotel will create a seamless journey to Antarctica, ‘opening up a part of the world that is often difficult to explore, yet has so much to offer’.

. . . Fly Cruise

There are 29 Fly Cruise departures with 14 allowing guests to fly over the Drake Passage in both directions, and 15 offering a one-way sailing paired with a one-way flight.

Eleven voyages cross the passage ex Puerto Williams, and there’s one 21-night Antarctica to Buenos Aires voyage on 04 Mar, the season’s longest and its only sailing to end in Buenos Aires. See more on the season HERE.
