New trade-friendly platform, Cruise Smaller has launched, focusing on small-ship cruising and private yacht charters.
The platform is founded by John and Paul Polyviou, owners of Aussie wholesaler Sun Island Tours, who say the new brand builds on the company’s more than 35 years of industry experience as a specialist in small-ship cruising through Croatia, Greece and Italy.
“Small-ship cruising has always been a significant part of our business, particularly through out the Mediterranean,” says John Polyviou. “Over the years, we’ve seen increased interest from travellers wanting something different, smaller vessels, unique destinations, fewer passengers and a much more personalised experience.”
. . . Agents In Mind
Cruise Smaller aims to make small-ship cruise sales easy for agents, he adds. Agents may search and compare cruising experiences in one marketplace. They can filter by destination, date, cruise style, vessel size and more. The product ranges from boutique Mediterranean yachts and luxury small ships to river cruising and expedition voyages.
Paul Polyviou says one of the biggest challenges in selling small-ship cruising can be finding and comparing products. “We didn’t want to simply create another website.
We wanted to build a dedicated centralised application that makes selling small-ship cruising easier for agents, while giving them access to products and experiences they may not have previously considered.”
. . . Charter
Cruise Smaller also connects agents with more than 400 private charter suppliers worldwide, with options from bareboat charters to fully crewed yachts and whole-vessel charters. “Chartering is an area we see enormous potential in, particularly for agents who have clients looking for exclusive experiences or travelling together in private groups,” says John Polyviou.
. . . A $50 Credit
Agents booking through the platform will earn commission alongside a Cruise Smaller credit on every eligible booking. To celebrate the launch, agents who sign-up through the dedicated agent registration link (below) will also get a $50 credit, redeemable towards a future eligible booking. “Travel agents have been the foundation of Sun Island Tours for more than three decades, and they’re equally important to the future of Cruise Smaller,” adds Paul Polyviou.
