Viva Expeditions’ Beyond the Brochure Roadshows have wrapped up, and a number of agents are now set to take flight or set sail, with the event series seeing the tour operator give away travel prizes worth more than $200,000 to attending agents.

Winners at the final roadshow, in Auckland, included Travel Associates’ Price Heaslip who won a luxury Rovos Rail journey in South Africa for two, while Karen McIntosh of NZ Travel Brokers, Envoyage’s Natasha Crowle and Trish Seeherr of TS Travel each won stays at luxury camps in Africa. Joanna Devereux of The Travel Brokers took home the South America package, this including stays at Vik Wine Lodge and Estancia Cerro Guido in Patagonia. The three events attracted around 240 agents in total, who had the chance to meet with 15 international guests, with Viva gm Tara Sutherland saying connecting ground operators directly with agents was really at the heart of Beyond the Brochure.
“We wanted the people who know these destinations best to share their knowledge, stories and experiences first-hand, and inspire agents to think beyond the traditional destinations.”
