The Ultimate Outback Pub Crawl

For the ultimate pub crawl, South Australia is now home to The Outback Pub Pilgrimage, a journey through some of Australia’s most legendary out back pubs.

And the best bit? Kiwis don’t have to worry about sourcing a sober driver between each stop, with travel via plane.

The multi-day experience from the Prairie Hotel is open to groups of four, flown by a pilot guide who will share Outback history, characters and stories along the way. It starts with an overnight stay at Parachilna’s Prairie Hotel, including dinner with local beer and wine, before guests are chauffeured to the private Parachilna airstrip the next morning. The first flight heads over Kati Thanda Lake Eyre to William Creek Hotel within Australia’s largest cattle station —Anna Creek Station—for morning tea.

The next flight heads into Channel Country to the Birdsville Hotel, widely considered Australia’s most remote pub, where clients spend a night and can watch the sun set over the edge of the Simpson Desert.
The following day clients will fly over ancient river systems to Innamincka’s historic Creekside Hotel for lunch, before a final flight back to Parachilna and the Prairie Hotel. Prices start from $2340 per person. See more details HERE.
