Air New Zealand and Air Chathams have expanded their interline partnership to include the Chatham Islands and Whanganui, joining the current Whakatane offering.
3C ceo Duane Emeny says the deal is about opening up more opportunities for the communities it serves, adding that it’s an especially significant milestone for the Chatham Islands. “For the first time, customers will be able to book a single ticket con necting them with destinations across New Zealand,” says Emeny. The announcement coincides with the completion of the new termi nal at the Chathams’ Inia William Tuuta Memorial Airport.
NZ ceo Nikhil Ravishankar says the move demonstrates what’s possible when Kiwi airlines collaborate, while Associate Transport Minister Hon James Meager has welcomed the move.
“This partnership is a great example of industry working together to strengthen regional connectivity, make travel simpler and support the long-term resilience of New Zealand’s aviation network,” says Meager.
