Qantas has declared last week’s national travel agent roadshow an ‘outstanding success’, which fell on the same week that the carrier reported record NDC sales from point of sale New Zealand.
It may be no coincidence that the record result follows the launch of QF’s 5% upfront bonus commission offer for NDC fares, but QF’s senior manager sales New Zealand Rebecca Slee says its NDC sales overall are trending positively in the Kiwi market.
NDC was one of the topics discussed at the roadshow events, however Slee says there was strong engagement from agents right across the agenda.
“Most importantly our QF sales team loved connecting with the agents who attended the sessions, and we are so thankful for some who travelled literally hours to get to and from the locations,” she adds.

In fact, Slee says the trade reaction was so encouraging that the airline is now looking to host a series of regional roadshows later this year, which it last offered in 2024. “We realise the everyone is very busy, and how important it is for us to get out to see the agents and update them on our full suite of offerings, and give them the space to ask questions and listen to their feedback.”

Keen to keep up the momentum, QF has today launched a global sale with tactical fares such as Auckland-Las Vegas from $1379 return.
“The 5% bonus commission NDC offer is live until 31 Aug, so there’s no better time to book a QF global sale airfare,” adds Slee.
Return levels ex Auckland to Bangkok are from $1599, to New York from $1589, and to Tokyo from $1349. Closer to home options include AKL to the Gold Coast and Samoa from $579 and $699, respectively, as well as to Adelaide from $699.
