Weka Travel has launched its next phase of growth, with new branding, a new website, tours coming—and now a new general manager.

The industry’s Sandy Trapski, well known for her time at Air New Zealand and Tandem Travel, has joined Weka as it’s first general manager. The move will allow Weka founder Josh Loughnan to look to develop new product and new destinations, he says.
“Sandy brings a wealth of industry knowledge and expertise to the team,” he adds.
Weka continues to go from strength to strength, says Loughnan, who also thanks the trade for its growing support. “Our bookings from the trade are growing, especially from travel brokers,” he says. While he states sales from the retail brands are growing too, he says it’s brokers that are really seeing the value in Weka removing the travel pain points for agents, and their clients.
“Our special moments are also a popular feature,” he adds. See more on Weka HERE.
