World Travellers has named Jodie Burnard as its new gm who will commence her role on 10 Aug.
She has more than 20 years of travel industry experience and World Travellers says it was impressed with her depth of industry knowledge and her direct experience with independent agents. She also has proven strength in product, partnerships, marketing, PR and communications across companies including Flight Centre Travel Group, Stella, Kumuka and Insight Vacations.
World Travellers chair Wendy van Lieshout says through the recruise process Burnard ‘always showed up with warmth, professionalism and relatability’. “She’s passionate, solutions‑driven and deeply committed, bringing energy and optimism. She really impressed us all and is a great fit for our cooperative”.
World Travellers has a new two-year strategic growth plan just signed off, and Burnard is up for the challenge. “I am excited to meet and get to know all of the group, as well as getting stuck into delivering the exciting plans set in place. World Travellers is an amazing group of highly experienced travel business owners and staff, who clearly love what they do and who I’ve admired from afar”.
