Emirates has launched its next-generation signature lounge concept in Munich and Frankfurt, a move which it says sets ‘a new benchmark’ for airport lounges.

The Dubai-based carrier plans to debut more of the new lounges in key cities glob-ally.

It is investing more than AED50 million into each next-generation lounge, and deputy EK president and coo Adel Al Redha says the investment in the new signature lounge concept reflects its ongoing commitment to delivering a seamless, premium experience.

The next new lounge will open in Manchester in Jul, followed by Mauritius in Aug, and Istanbul in Oct. Key features of the lounges include a colour palette inspired by EK’s cabin interiors and the flagship lounges of Dubai, as well as distinct zones for relaxation, work, socialising and dining. For those travelling for business there’s more private areas and communal spaces designed to function as both social hubs and working areas. There’s also Italian eco-leather seating, wireless charging and universal power access at every seat.

Dining-wise, live cooking stations will feature along with hot and cold buffet selections and a dedicated bread oven. Premium beverages continue to be offered, with a selection of wines, beers, Champagne and spirits, EK adds.

The new lounges will also feature upgraded shower suites with spa-inspired finishes, sustainable VOYA amenities, and a Quiet Zone with plush seating, soft lighting, and sleep amenities such as blankets, eye masks, and earplugs. See more HERE.
