The New Zealand travel industry can now access industry travel deals in one place, as The Travel Industry Club announces plans to launch to the wider industry in New Zealand.
The Kiwi market hasn’t had a one stop industry-wide offering like this since the Travel Agent Travel Service, which has not operated for a number of years.
Sue Francis founded the club in Australia, noticing that travel industry employees who dedicated their careers to promoting and selling travel experiences were not getting travel benefits for their own personal use.
She set out to change this, starting first by offering reduced rate travel to Qantas employees. The concept then expanded to travel industry employees across Australia—and now to New Zealand, too.

Francis, whose name many may recognise from her time as founder of Francis Travel Marketing, says via the club agents have a wide choice of cruise lines at industry rates, not normally available direct.
The Travel Industry Club’s partnership with the cruise lines means it can provide distressed inventory to a closed user group, generally all industry categories, which Francis says is a win/win situation for both. “Travel Industry members experience the product and are also great word of mouth advertisers.” Regarding the Kiwi market, she says there is no-one offering this service locally.
The club’s strong focus on the cruise sector, adds Francis, recognising that this is the fastest-growing and most popular segment of the travel market. Members are able to access exclusive cruise rates, including discounts of up to 70%, she adds. Francis says her team can also tailor travel experiences to suit individual preferences.
