Niue Island showcased its options for conferences and incentives, weddings and events according to Kiwi agents upon their return from a famil at the destination.
The group checked out conference spaces and accommodation, with a focus on catering quality and what could be delivered for specific events, says Niue Tourism’s Hayden Porter. Highlights included poolside cocktails and Niue’s only party bus.
Dining options included a five-course Japanese meal. Other experiences were guided snorkelling with Niue Blue, a trivia night and a Dark Sky experience.
There was also guided walks, more snorkelling, golf, a plantation tour with an uga (coconut crab) hunt and a hula class. Porter says the island is focused on developing the C&I market with Scenic Matavai Resort.
The largest conference hosted to date was 120 delegates in 2025, following a similar famil in 2024.
“Seeing is believing as they say, and we had group bookings start to roll in before we even finished the trip which was fantastic to see. All of the group went away with a totally changed perception of the destination and totally in love with it,” he adds.
