Vancouver has been ranked as the number one FIFA World Cup 26 host city by Sports Illustrated Magazine. It was closely followed by Seattle in the US and Toronto in Ontario, Canada.
Vancouver’s public transport system connecting downtown with the airport and suburbs was a key factor in its ranking, and BC Place Vancouver stadium’s location is also conveniently nearby bars and restaurants. The city’s mild temperatures and proximity to beaches helped the ranking. So, too, did various activations such as viewing parties and free fan events.
