Viking’s 2028-2029 World Cruise itineraries are out and include a 142-day voyage on Viking Vesta ex Fort Lauderdale on 21 Dec 2028, that will see the ship in New Zealand waters.

The world cruise will sail to 62 ports in 31 countries on its way to London, journeying through the Panama Canal and along the West Coast of North America, before sailing to Hawai‘i, French Polynesia, New Zealand and Australia, and then heading to Europe via Southeast Asia and Africa. Highlights will include overnight stays in 16 cities, from Cape Town to Casablanca, and for the serious cruiser, the ability to extend this with the 170-day Viking World Voyage III, continuing from London to 21 ports across Northern Europe and Scandinavia.
Prices are from AUD117,995pp for the 142-day voyage, and AUD142,995pp for the 170-day option. There’s also the opportunity to add multi-day overland excursions, such as the six-day Uluru & Great Barrier Reef Overland and the six-day India’s Golden Triangle Overland, with guests on these simply rejoining the ship at a later port.
