Cathay Pacific treated trade members to a dining experience inspired by the airline’s in-flight offering in Auckland last week, with its regional head of customer travel and lifestyle for Southeast Asia and Oceania Jonathan Ng saying it is a common misconception that plane food is ‘plain’.
A Plane Food Dining Experience at Nightcar featured a three-course meal inspired by CX’s inflight economy and premium economy offering, followed by a tea service from JING.
Ng says bringing the event to Auckland was a first for the airline in this region. “We have been flying to New Zealand for over 40 years, and it holds a special place in our hearts,” he adds.
“We hope this event has given Kiwis just a taste of the quality of our dining and an understanding of the investment we make into every element of the customer journey.”
